What some of our members have to say about PWC.
"I'd been in Norway for about 6 months, just beginning to settle, when I first heard about PWC through friends of a friend. They persuaded me to come along to a PWC coffee morning and I'm really glad I went.
The feeling was warm and relaxed and everyone was so friendly. By good fortune this coffee morning was also an AGM so I got to hear all about what went on with PWC. The thing that really appealed to me was the fabulous range of activities PWC enabled access to and I could just decide what I'd like to participate in.
Through PWC I've joined a 'Snakke Norsk' group where I've met some terrific people and improved my Norwegian, I've attended a silver jewellery making course which I loved, I've gone along to see some great cut price movies through Movie Monday and taken my children to see family movies on a Sunday thanks to PWCexclusive showings.
I'm going to a coffee and learn to curl event at the ice rink in a few weeks and also fresh in my mind is the lovely Christmas luncheon that took place at Sola Strand Hotel just before Christmas, it was fabulous.
There are many other fantastic opportunities available through PWC - book club, Nordic needlers, walking group and plenty of chances to learn new things - glass painting, ceramics, golf, craft and photography to name but a few! I can honestly say joining PWC has been one of my best moves here in Norway.
I've met a wonderful bunch of warm, friendly, interesting and motivated people, many of whom I have become good friends with. I've had the chance to spread my wings and try new things. I'd totally recommend PWC to anyone, it's fantastic."

"I have been living in Stavanger for the past eighteen months, if you are reading this as you are new to Stavanger I can only hope that you will enjoy your time here as much as I am.
Spending the last 25years, as what I term, a "world gypsy" travelling with my husband, Glen, from posting to posting we have been lucky to have lived in some very interesting places. Even so, I still count Norway as one of the nicest countries we have been fortunate to live in.
We have two children who have been brought up in the expat world " third culture kids".
I have many interests which I am able to easily pursue here. PWC has given me the opportunity to do so. Painting, hiking, knitting, quilting and photography and I am also adding new pastimes as opportunities arise. Stained glass, mosaics and pottery/ceramics.
I look forward to what else Norway still has to offer while we remain here."

"PWC has been a great way to get out and do fun activities and meet people who like doing what I like doing. As an added bonus the groups helped me keep fit through pregnancy!
It's a great way to get info on other activities/events that are happening in the area as they not always well advertised in Stavanger as well as general advice on where to find things. The discounts provided by doing activities with the club is another big incentive to join up to things and try something new as it doesn't hit you so hard on the wallet if it turns out this is not your thing.
Have made great friends and done things I wouldn't have gone to on my own."
